 Man this burns my butt. cant get through a round without laggin out. Paid good money for this game and a systen just to run it . So at 75 bucks a month for extreme high speed cable is it worth it anymore? just shoot me i'll be the guy lagged out in the middle of nowhere.

 Hey Pylon..... Try running the PB uninstaller uninstall PB and then run the PB installer to reinstall it.. I have been reading the forums and alot of people are having pulse lag caused by PB.. the issue seems to be the pbA.exe isn't talking to the pbB.exe. If you having server communication problems along with the pulse lag than this is definatly the issue for you... I hav'nt been on for awhile until last night because of the pulse lag/communication error issue... hope this helps...

 So I reinstalled my vid drivers and were up and playing (low quality) but man it's chaos. I like the 2142 game play much more but this game is intense.

 Yep i have to agree with you there.. everything around you goes BOOM.. The 2142 game play is still my favorite but looks like BC2 will be a nice alternate so far. I have a Nvidia6600 and with the updated driver posted last week i can get on with med settings but still dealing with some lag.. looks like i'm going to have to get back to the drawing board and build another one..

 So my vid card wasn't the entire problem. After trouble shooting and optimization analysis I realized I had a unforseen bottle neck. The system is a Gen 4 XPS circa 2005, Hyper thread with 3 gig of RAM with 800mhz FSB. Well Dell in all their glory have a typical means in which they limit the capabilities by their choosing rather than the hardware limitations. 800mhz FSB with 533mhz memory speed, I upgraded the ram to accommodate but the board would only clock at 533. Wasn't sure if Dell was limiting since I didn't purchase their brand preference or the board was but in either case, denied.

Upgraded to the EVGA x58 board and reintroduced the 8600 GTS
and the card has been released to the wild. BFBC2 plays much better but can only run in med quality mode and intense moments slows a bit. Now the arms race has begun and considering vid cards.

Still like the BF2142 Game play better but BFBC2 is fun.

If you have CCleaner, run it for the registry fix to clear up any additional game files, if that doesnt work you could also try to look online for ins[more ...]
